Advising for the Spring 2010 semester begins the week of February 1st. Office hours are available under the faculty and staff are of the department website.

Students are required to see their faculty adviser at least twice a semester. This ensures that students are on the correct path toward graduation. An adviser is a full time faculty in your area of emphasis (painting, printmaking, sculpture, etc.) Dual Emphasis should see an adviser in each emphasis area.

Saturday Open Studio for spring 2010 begins February 13th.

Saturday Open Studio gives enrolled art students a chance to work in the studio on specific Saturdays during the fall and spring semester. Most art studios are open from 9-4. Students must sign up in the art office beginning at 9:00 am on Wednesday through Friday by 12:00 pm, before the Saturday they would like to use the studio. Telephone calls and emails are excepted so long as a name and room number are provided. Not all studios are available on Saturdays, please check with your instructor to see if the studio is allowed to be used during Saturday open studio. Students that use the studio on Saturday but failed to sign up may be asked to leave.

All students must be out of the studio by 4:00pm. The studio spaces should be respected and students are expected to clean up after themselves and turn off all equipment after use. Students who fail to follow Saturday studio procedures may loose studio privileges.
