Mullins3Paul Mullins makes paintings, drawings, and installations that are concerned with a prolonged preoccupation with the nature and tragedies of masculinity. He is known for imagery of brutish males such as boxers and wrestlers.

His work combines elegant handling of antiquity with vulgar and contemporary subject matter. There are many references to class, quixotic notions, and his Appalachian origins. Paul Mullins Exhibits in New York, Miami, and Chicago.
