Headlands MFA Studio Award

Deadline to be announced - Headlands Center for the Arts MFA Studio Awards Program provides a free studio for one year to an outstanding graduate from six sponsoring Bay Area MFA programs, allowing young artists to immerse themselves in the HCA’s dynamic community of artists at all stages of creative development. Studio occupancy at the Headlands for 2009-2010 program is schedule to begin June 1, 2010. Each recipient has the opportunity to work in an 1800 square foot Project Space and live at the Headlands for one week at the conclusion of the award period. We will begin accepting applications in the spring 2010 semester.

Martin Wong Scholarship for Painting & Ceramics

Martin Wong Scholarship for Painting & Ceramics

Deadline to be announced - The Martin Wong Scholarship was founded in 2002 with the goal of providing scholarships in the visual arts. The scholarships are in memory of artist Martin Wong, who was active professionally in California and New York. The Art Department Scholarship Review Committee nominates students on the basis of merit to the Martin Wong Foundation. Funds are made available after the 4th week census of the Fall Semester. Judgements by the Scholarship Review Committee and the Martin Wong Foundation are final. We will begin accepting applications in the spring 2010 semester.

Leo D. Stillwell Award

Deadline to be announced - The Leo D. Stillwell Awards are given annually on the basis of merit as determined by the Art Department Scholarship Review Committee. All available funds are awarded and may be divided between two or more students. Funds are given after the 4th week census of the Fall Semester. Judgment of the Review Committee is final. We will begin accepting applications in the spring 2010 semester.

Christine Tamblyn Memorial Scholarship

Deadline to be announced - The Christine Tamblyn Memorial Scholarship is given annually on the basis of merit as determined by the Art Department Scholarship Review Committee. At least $1000 is awarded and may be divided between two or more students. Funds are given after the 4th week census of the Fall Semester. Judgement of the Review Committee is final. We will begin accepting applications in the spring 2010 semester.

Strauss Scholarship for Photography

Strauss Scholarship for Photography

Deadline to be announced - The Strauss Scholarship for Photography is given annually on the basis of merit as determined by the Art Department Scholarship Review Committee. Between $200-$1000 is awarded and may be divided between two or more students. Funds are given after the 4th week census of the Fall Semester. Judgment of the Review Committee is final. We will be begin accepting application in the spring 2010 semester.
