Deadline to be announced - Headlands Center for the Arts MFA Studio Awards Program provides a free studio for one year to an outstanding graduate from six sponsoring Bay Area MFA programs, allowing young artists to immerse themselves in the HCA’s dynamic community of artists at all stages of creative development. Studio occupancy at the Headlands for 2009-2010 program is schedule to begin June 1, 2010. Each recipient has the opportunity to work in an 1800 square foot Project Space and live at the Headlands for one week at the conclusion of the award period. We will begin accepting applications in the spring 2010 semester.

Studio occupancy at the Headlands Center for the Arts for 2009-2010 program year.
Eligibility:
- SFSU Full-time Classified Graduate
- MFA candidate graduating Spring 2009
- In good academic standing
Application Submission Materials:
- 15 labeled slides in a carousel or 3 minutes of audio/video/cd/dvd.
- Scholarship Application form.
- Letter of interest about why you would like a studio at the Headlands
- Resume
- Detailed Slide list
- Optional short artists statement
Submit 8 copies of all written materials. All materials must be labeled with name, address, phone number and student ID number.

SFSU Art Department Scholarship Committee puts forth a minimum of 2 candidates for HCA’s consideration.
